Sharing the Love

When we first learned about Ms. Edwards' coffee cart, our hearts swelled with a desire to share the love to both her and her students, who are an integral part of our community. Last week, part of our team delivered a heartfelt surprise for Ms. Edwards, presenting her with a brand-new, Cups of Kindness coffee cart, equipped with all the supplies she'll need for the upcoming years to ensure that the cart remains consistently stocked. There is no one more deserving than Ms. Edwards herself. Her unwavering dedication and commitment to providing her students with the best learning experiences are nothing short of inspirational. THANK YOU, Ms. Edwards, for your profound impact you make every day. Our community is beyond blessed to have you. "Kristin Edwards and her team of paraprofessionals have worked diligently over the past year and a half to develop their classroom business called "Cups of Kindness." "Cups of Kindness" is a coffee cart that offers fresh, hot coffee, teas, hot chocolate, and snacks to staff throughout the building. It is operated by the students in Ms. Edwards' Life Skills program. With the support of the staff, students stock the coffee cart each day and wheel it throughout the building, taking orders and filling coffee cups as they go. While learning job skills is a crucial part of their experience, the most valuable aspect of "Cups of Kindness" for both the students involved and the staff they serve is the relationships built through the daily cart visits. Students have the chance to meet staff from throughout the building, while staff have an opportunity to put faces to names and meet students outside of their own classroom walls.Ms. Edwards has been instrumental in making this cart a success. Not only has she invested a significant amount of her personal time, but she has also used her own money to keep the cart running and has never once asked for recognition. Ms. Edwards continues to operate with one goal in mind: to ensure that her students have the absolute best experience possible at PWMS, regardless of the personal sacrifices it takes from her." - Chelsea (Assistant Principle at Prairie Winds Elementary)

At the young age of 21, Austin's life was tragically cut short while taking part in one of his greatest passions, dirt biking. His love for the sport ran deep and from a young age, and his family shared in his fervor. Austin and his family are very close to one of our heavenly hunks team members and the heaviness of the tragic accident was felt in our hunk family.

Heavenly Hunks has been a fixture at the track, providing a delicious snack for both riders and spectators. It was at the track, where Austin first discovered the Birthday Cake hunks, quickly making them a go to track snack favorite.

In memory of Austin, a fundraiser was organized, and heavenly hunks contributed a gift basket with Austin's beloved snack – Birthday Cake hunks, along with some gear to ensure Austin's vibrant spirit would live on both on and off the track.

One tough cookie Evan has been in the hospital on and off for months. His nurse knew he would be in the hospital for chemo during his birthday. Nurse Ashley asked Evan what he wanted for his birthday, and he responded with “Birthday Cake heavenly hunks” (Evan has great taste)! We received a message from nurse Ashley and sent Evan loads of hunks to help him celebrate his special day.

We had an incredible time as guests on the Bingo Show hosted by The Dude at Stars Studio at Children’s Minnesota Hospital. Before the show, we arranged a table with heavenly hunks for patients, parents, and staff to enjoy. Each bingo winner received a gift basket filled with goodies.

Little Wishes hosted its 20th annual Starlight Soiree. To make it a bit sweeter, we sent some heavenly hunks Mini’s to California to share the love with the people who help make this organization possible.

Not all heroes wear capes. Meet Omega. He is a canine companion dog at a Children’s Hospital. He visits the kiddos and delivers heavenly hunks to help brighten their day. Omega is one sweet hunk hound.

Some members of the heavenly hunks team wrapping toys for the TriStar Centennial Children's Hospital. These gifts were shipped to Nashville and then hand-delivered, with hunks in hand of course, to the kidos on the oncology floor.

We heard Santa's favorite cookies are hunks, so we sent some with him to Le Center, MN to #sharethelove at their Hollydaze festival.

At heavenly hunks we are all about family. This holiday season, the team packed holiday gift bags for Lutheran Services, Tri-County Adoption program where 42 foster kids were blessed with our hunks, gift cards, candy, Christmas socks and other

We wanted to help make back to school a bit sweeter by thanking teachers and recognizing students for their ridiculously amazing accomplishments. Parents, students, or colleagues were encouraged to nominate a ridiculously amazing teacher and/or student. Three teachers and three students were selected and won hunks for their classroom, swag, Amazon gift cards for supplies for their classroom, and iPads.

Alongside our Back-to-School Campaign we partnered with Blessings in a Backpack so even more students and teachers could have the chance send in a nomination.

Blessings in a Backpack’s mission is to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry. Six pallets of heavenly hunks made their way to the Florida, Kentucky, and Texas chapters.

A big thank you to our healthcare heroes! In May, we sent a pallet of hunks to Ventura Medical Center to help celebrate National Nurses Week! This was one of many pallets of hunks that were shipped to various hospitals as a small thank you for all they do and continue to do.

We sent over 3,500 bags of heavenly hunks to the Marine Corps in San Diego to help share the love with the Marines, Sailors and their families. A huge thank you for all that they and their families sacrifice.

Every year, Love Society organizes a special Mother's Day event at Phoenix Children's Hospital. At this event, over 220 moms and their children can fill their goody bags with essential care items and, of course delicious hunks.

Hospitals often offer a variety of tempting but not necessarily nutritious food choices. Love Society’s aims to provide these bags as a source of comfort during what is undoubtedly one of the most challenging times for these families.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we
donated a pallet of hunks to our dedicated and hardworking medical
professionals. It was a small token of our gratitude for their unwavering
commitment, especially during these difficult and uncertain times.
